Get yourself a free account on for counting your calories etc.

Check out the different sections - especially those on exercise and nutrition. Pay particular attention to the sticky threads that you find.

Start a diary in the diaries section and check out other people's diaries. That is the way that we make friends and build a support network.

Check out the challenges and consider joining one to gain motivation and possibly some indicators of how to go about things. I am actually in the process of kicking off a challenge and you would be most welcome to join in the fun.
