hello all, im new here and i got a problem i want to lose weight but my family eats fast food alot anyone have any ideas what i should do.

couple months ago i was at like 230 i managed to get down to 195 but i lost motavation and now im back to about 210 and the fast foods not helping... :mad: :confused:
 
How about starting a family competition? I don't know where you fall within the family, but if you are one of the parents then don't let your kids eat the fast food. If you're one of the children, put your brothers and sisters up to a bet on who can go the longest without eating fast foods.
 
umm im 21 still live at home but i guess we eat alot of fast food cause its easy darn thats a stupid reason but probley mostly true

Yea, I guess that's most people's reason. It's easy, fast, and cheap.

Unfortunately, it's also deadly.

Maybe your family simply needs a wake up call or a verbal slap. I know if my family was eating that poorly, I'd at the very least, try and lay the law down.

It's tough since you are still dependent on your parents it seems. This being the case, it's highly unlikely that you're going to go grocery shopping on your own to get the foods you need, better yet, cook them.

In your current situation, it would seem like you need to find a way to change the family as a whole. A family competition is a great idea, from above.
 
well thanks for the quick responces.. im hoping for the best. mybe i will start cooking for everybody try and get somthing new started :)

There ya go. Take the initiative. People know how to eat healthily. It's just a matter of getting them to do it.

Is your family overweight?
 
heh it usally is the bad habits that are the hardest to break....
can anyone load me a sledge hammer or sumthan:)
 
If you literally can't escape eating fast food because of your family's buying habits you can still lose weight by reducing the portions of it you eat as well as regularly exercising.

Also instead of drinking soft drinks with meals if you currently do try to switch to milk or water.

Even with your family's buying habits I'm sure water is freely available to you like it is most everybody lol.
