Hi. I'm brand new to this forum. I'm a 25 y/o law student. I saw myself on a videotaped deposition exercise and realized just how fat I've gotten in the last few years. I need to lose some serious weight, so that's why I'm here. I currently weight 302 lbs (bummer) and my goal weight is 175 lbs. Needless to say, I've got a long way to go. Gotta start somewhere I guess.

Congrats on taking the first step--deciding to make a change!

You'll find this is a great community for support the entire time you are here. Start by reading around in some of the stickied threads, and venture into the diary section and possibly start one of your own. It's a great way to keep yourself in check, not to mention learn about everybody else. Do you have an exercise and eating plan yet?

Welcome Sanducall,
You are in the right place for the support you will need. I just told a friend yesterday who needs to lose a big number. She is thinking about surg. I said to her set small goals. Don't look at the big number look at 25 lbs first and when you reach that goal set another one. But always remember the big goal in the end. The great part is all the little goals add up to the big goal! And then you win and it is not so overwhelming!! So good luck you to and welcome. Tina:waving:

Thanks

Thanks for the encouragement and tips. I've posted my tracker, and plan on weighing in once a week on Monday mornings. Hopefully I'll start to see the progress I'm looking for. Thanks again.
