Hello.

I have never really tried losing weight, and have been overweight since early early childhood.

I am a 6'1 male 22 years old, and weigh approximately 350 pounds.
(I say approximately, because there are no scales in my house.)

I worked out in highschool while playing football, but was still one of the biggest guys on the team.

Until recently, I ate at least 1 fast food meal a day (McDonalds usually) and a lot of other stuff throughout the day.

I know NOTHING about proper nutrition, etc, etc. But have been looking into it.

I look around and see so many overweight people talking about losing weight and taking the first few steps, but never following through.
My fear of 'quitting' is one of the reasons I have put this off for so long.

I realize that weight loss will take time, and I am willing to accept that.

I am trying not to be unrealistic, but I would like to lose 100 pounds by April 2008. My overall goal is to be 200 pounds, (Will worry about the rest when I get there).

Well, like they always say: You have already done so much by taking this first step. There are so many great tips on here. What kind of nutrition info are you looking for? Let us know if there is any way we can help.
