!My Weight loss goal!​

Introduction​

Hi everyone my name is Jack Graham and i am 16 years old i am in my last year of school moving to collage next year and i am hoping to loose weight and get into shape for that time, I have always been happy at school and the way i have been treated is overwhelming considering some things that overweight people have to endure in school i have lots of friends and i have had 3 girlfriends in my school life i am confident and i have i believe a medium self esteem the reasons im wanting to lose weight are, because the risk of diseases and dieing young. And because i want to have more relationship and job opportunity's as i move towards adult live as i hear that there is alot of weight related discrimination when it comes to job opportunity's.Another motive is because i want to look better and have a better physical appearance as im a young lad and will be 18 soon and i will only have one thing on my mind ;) anyway if my mates are true mates they will stay hanging with me when im older but i want to maintain the social life i have but even if they stay true when i go to clubs il be to overweight and unfit to dance and i will probs have no luck so i want to change my weights for those reasons oh yeah and it would be cool to see before and after pictures.I have tried weight loss before but i always go back to unhealthy eating and not sticking to the gym even though my friends and family encourage me to stick to the regimes i set myself up. So this time i am determined to do it properly. My father is a chef of 33 years and i am cooked nutritious meals such as risotto roast dinners jerk chicken with rice and salads. With the occasional fish and chips id say once a fort night.My weight gaining only started when i was around 13 years old i started drinking 2ltrs of full sugar coke a day right now i am drinking a bottle of diet coke a week but it was hard to give up i have been 19.2 stone for the last 2 months and i have put no more weight on but now i am ready to push forward and try and get my weight down to 13 stone my height is 6foot. Anyway i was just wondering if people could share story's give me advice inspiration and support i know its alot to ask but i am willing to give the same back to other people as this seems a nice community. Oh year sorry for the lecture :p

Hi Jack,
I just wanted to say that I am impressed that you are so wise to start this when you are 16. I wish I took better care of my self when I was 16. You will do great because you have a really good attittude about getting to your goals.

Welcome to the forums, and good luck! If you want to get started more in the community, I would recommend starting a weight loss diary and update it frequently! It's a good place to get support as well as track your own habits.

Good job on cutting down on the soda! That's impressive! How much water do you drink? THAT would be a good thing to be addicted to!
 
Welcome to the site sweetheart! You're quite a handsome man already, so I can how you had the 3 girlfriends already :D. What's your goal weight?
 
I used this website ( ) to figure out how much water I should be drinking, and if it isn't exact, I am guessing it is at least close! For you, I would say (going by google conversion) that you would do 267 x .5 = 133.5 ounces.. which would be 16.5 or 17 cups of water per day.

What I find is handy is to fill a water bottle that I know has say 32 ounces of water in it, then just make sure I drink at least enough of those to get my daily water intake.

Good luck on the water! It's a fairly easy task for me, but a lot of people have difficulty with it. Have fun setting up a ticker.. you can get them at tickerfactory.com or just by clicking on someone else's in case you hadn't figured it out!
