AHi I'm 22 and overweight and ready to lose.. I'm an lpn and work midnights so if anyone has tips i would love to hear some thanks :)

Although the formula for losing weight is quite simple..... less calories in than you burn in a day, the process is a little harder. For me counting calories worked, for some it doesn't. The trick is to find what works for you! Although exercise is a definite bonus to losing weight, it isn't necessary, but.... it feels great when you are working your butt off and see the results.

Start a diary on here...let us know what you are doing and how things are going. This is a great place for support and encouragement.

Good luck!!!! You CAN do this!

I used to work the mids in a hospital and to stay alert I used to eat and snack quite often. Most of the food in the nurses lounge was not what I needed but was convenient. I needed a plan, a plan to eat. I started bringing my own food and planned on what I was going to eat throughout the night. Bring your own food and eat only that which you bring. Pick good choices of snacks and meals. Also, I really started losing weight when I combined good eating with an exercise program. Start small, like walking and go from there. You can do it.
