Hi - newbie here!

Hi guys,

My trainer told me about this site and suggested I join. Oyher than him, I dont really talk to anyone about my weight. To be honest, I wouldnt take to Mark either, if I didnt have to!

Having had a look round I decided to join because I like the way that people on here know the trails and tribulations of trying to lose weight!

A bit about me...

As a child, I was never overweight, mainly because I played tennis competitively and played pretty much everyday! But at 15, I was in a car accident which left me unable to play. I began to replace tennis and exercise with food, mainly junk food! So as you can imagine the weight piled on. My brother tried to talk to me about it and I grew more and more resentful of him fr it and ended up not talking to him.

In the last 7 years I have put on a hell of a lot of weight. I dont like the way I look or feel. About 18 months ago I tried to lose the weight, I tried pretty much every diet under the sun, from atkins to weight watchers and some pretty stupid ones too. anyway I never lasted more than a few weeks on them!

This time I actually want to lose weight sensibly. I know that its going to take a lot of time but this time I want to do it once and for all. So far, since I started, 3 weeks ago, I have managed to lose 4.5kgs, which I'm pleased with.

Well, that's me, sorry for how long the post is, I has just planned to say hi!

Welcome! I direct you around to some of the various sections like the Diary section where you cam start a log or journal where others can cheer you on. Several of the threads have stickied posts full of information.

anything you need, just speak up.
