Hi everyone, my name is John. I’m 25 years old and decided to join because I feel I’m starting to plateau in my weight loss and was looking for some advice/tips.

I started out on 3/20 weighing in at 197 pounds, today (5/22) I weighed in at 179, down 18 pounds in about two months. I’m very satisfied with my weight loss so far but I have noticed that the past couple weeks I have started to plateau. My goal was to lose at least 40 pounds and I’m not going to give up until I reach that goal, but I think I may need to turn things up a notch if I have reached a plateau.

Before I started to lose weight I never even owned a scale. To be honest, this isn’t just about a diet/losing weight – this has become basically a lifestyle change. In two months I think, act and eat completely differently than I have ever before.

Two months ago I would eat a lot of fast food and processed/microwaveable stuff, all of that is pretty much out of my life. I used to drink about 3-5 Snapples a day, now I only drink one with dinner – the rest I only drink water, lemon-lime seltzer water or Vitamin Water Zero occasionally after working out.

The past two months I have been on a fruit and vegetable craze. Before I hardly ever bought fresh fruits and vegetables on a regular basis, now it’s a huge part of my diet. For breakfast I will have either a bowl of oatmeal or some fruit. Lunch is fruits/vegetables or maybe a can of tuna. Dinner is usually a larger meal, but I try to stick with chicken or fish. Then at night I’ll have another snack, usually some fruit. During the day if I do feel a little hungry I’ll munch on some pistachios or peanuts.

After every meal I have been taking a Stacker 3 XPLC pill. At least a few times a week I do the 6+ minute routine with my Shake Weight – I have noticed some results there. I also walk and try to be more active than I have been in the past. I know I have to be even more active and exercise even more.

I started all of this because usually I was a size large, I had recently bought a new shirt and I had to buy an extra large and it really got me depressed. I put my foot down and for the first time ever, I decided to do something about my weight.

To be honest it hasn’t been very difficult so far, I wish I had done this years ago. The only time it can be a little tough is when I get a craving for something I used to normally eat and have to use some will power and say “no†to myself.

I do like listening to my iPod and working out to “work out†videos. I don’t own a treadmill and I’m not really into jogging/running outside. Does anyone have any diet tips or any good video recommendations? Also any other tips/advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Congrats on your weight loss so far. I am new here as well.

I know that most of us plateaus and when we do we need to shake it up. Maybe more/different exercises or cutting more calories as now you weigh less then you started.

Good luck!
