Hi Everyone! I am new here, just thought I would introduce myself.
I am a 24 yr. old stay at home mom to two sweet little girls. I have been married to my husband for 5 years next month.
I am really trying hard to lose weight and it helps a lot to have support and that's what brought me here. I have a mommy board online that I post to as well and knowing how much support I have received from there on parenting, I hope that this forum can provide the same kind of support in my weight loss journey.
I never really had issues with my weight until after I graduated high school. I went straight to college gained more than the "freshman 15" !! I didn't even realize how much weight I had gained.
I got pregnant with my first baby in October 2004. My weight when I got pregnant with her was about 220 lbs (and I didn't even realize it!!). When I went into the hospital to have her, I weighed in at 255.
After she was born it finally hit me and I really got serious about losing weight. Being a mother really motivated me. I didn't want to be that kind of mom that didn't have the energy to play with her child and mostly I just was tired of looking in the mirror and being disgusted with my reflection.
So I got serious about it and by the time her first birthday had rolled around, I had lost about 60 lbs!!
That was from my weight in the hospital on delivery day, so it was about 25-30 lbs below my pre-pregnancy weight.
I went on to lose about 10 more lbs....I was, I think, 173 at my lowest.
Then I got pregnant with my 2nd daughter in September 2006.
I ended up gaining a lot more weight during the pregnancy than I intended to. She was born in June 2007 and I weighed about 235 on delivery day with her.

I was breastfeeding for the first few months so there wasn't a whole lot I could do as far as weight loss went, but after I stopped breastfeeding I began trying to lose the weight again.
I was down to 203 in December 2007 when I got a HUGE shock in learning that I was pregnant AGAIN. It was a total surprise.
Sadly, I lost that pregnancy at 12 weeks. I had to have a D&C on Feb. 25th.
So going through that was pretty hard and put the weight loss on hold, kind of.
So now I am weighing in at about 205.
And I am really ready to get serious about losing weight again.
I hope that you guys can inspire me and I look forward to getting the weight off. Sorry this was so long!!
