...hi... i'm shiny and new but in need of help

The title says it all:

1. I'm new and shiny... (but i think that's down to good skin)
2. I need help, anything and everything from what to eat to different exercises i can do, i'm completely lost.
3. As i said i'm lost and i'm hoping that having an outlet i.e here, to talk about my "journey" (corny but true, i know) will help with that.

Anyway some details about myself... i'm in my late teens, around 5'9" and i would guess around 300lbs (i don't currently own scales but i'm going to buy some today, i'm even going to walk to the store so it's a start). I have been overweight for a looooong time, the last time i remember being happy with my body was when i was...7 i think. It started as a little gain but then things happened and i turned to food, now i know that i need to lose some weight and start living. New me, new life, new everything really.

If i keep talking this is going to get stupidly long so i'm going to start a thread in the diary section where i can continue my rambling (yay i <3 rambling).

The point of this was to say hi so..."hi", and i would appreciate any food, exercise, general weight loss related advice or suggestions.

Welcome to the forum! I've found that this place is a great resource for advice and support and I hope it is just as helpful to you, too. :) Also, keeping a diary really helps keep me on track. Being able to talk about it all, especially when there are few people to discuss it with in person, and get quality feedback has been a significant part of my ability to keep focused. I will keep an eye out for your diary!
 
It's sounds like your heading in the right direction!! I wish you the best of luck and I'm a great listener if you ever need someone to talk to!
