Hey, guys! I'm a newcomer, so I thought I'd introduce myself...

I've always been the chubby one in the family and have had a constant struggle with my weight. Strangely enough when I was a kid, I wasn't too conscious about this, but when my sister developed bulimia and anorexia (during which times she would lash out and make hurtful comments about my weight, among other things) my self-esteem plummeted and I became socially withdrawn.

I do realise that my weight isn't the only factor that's affecting my behaviour but, nonetheless, feel that it's something I need to overcome. I hope to lose about 10kg but, knowing myself, will be needing lots of motivation.

Hope to lose the weight this time, and to make some wonderful friends along the way!

There are some great people on this forum, with a wealth of knowledge and experience to share. :) Just remember: the only way that any of us can support you is by knowing that you need it. So if you're ever feeling unmotivated, stuck, or whatever - just come by and share with us!

I'm sure you're off to a good start but just in case you're new to all this:
1) Read the nutrition stickies - SO MUCH of my progress has been as a direct result of eating right.
2) Read the exercise stickies - your diet will play the biggest role in your weight loss, but exercise will help you get a toned physique with stronger leaner muscles.

Just by making the decision to be healthy, you are already showing the drive and motivation that millions of others across the world lack. You can do it!
