Hey there! I'm Kelsey! Good luck on your journey of weight loss! I'm not an expert in any way, but even cutting out bad foods is enough for weight loss. Maybe not much, but it does help out a lot for a new, healthy lifestyle. By simply watching what I eat, I lost about 5 to 10 pounds.

Good luck, mate!

Good luck Jason. just cutting out the soda and greasy foods will help, but controlling the portions you eat each time you eat will make a big difference as well. If you eat out, get in the habit of dividing your meal in half before you even start eating. Put the other half in a doggie bag and have it for another meal. Portions are WAAAY out of control and usually double to triple what you really need. When i started doing that, it seemed wierd at first, but now, my body doesn't miss the portions and if i try to eat a full meal at a restaurant, i feel overstuffed.

Well, what did you do to lose 80 pounds? lol

I would say that is definately enough to get you started on your journey, but in order to be positive you'll need to track your calories accurately.

Well it was when i was 19 and was working part time at Mcdonalds. I cut out the soda and bad food, walked uphill "giant hills" about a mile and a half to work everyday and played the crap out of DDR the dancing game on workout mode. I was doing about 45 mins hardcore cardio on that a day too!

But it took a few months to work up to that kind of activity i was losing 13-15 pounds a month and went from 360 pounds to 280 i felt so great!

Awesome!! That's great. You'll get started with what you're doing now (eating better and walking) and then when you can step it up a notch, step it up! I think it's neat you're doing this with your girlfriend. :) It's always nice to have someone to workout with.
