Hello! My name is Edna I'm 23 years old, I study dentistry and train dogs for a hobby. I accidentally found this forum I hope that with you guys I can get tips and the support that I'm not having at home with my parents hehehe

The problem I have is well they are all overweight and nobody want to change that so I'm alone here :p ... anywho :p I'm determinate to get fit! :D cuz well I don't want my kids (when I have kids hehe) to grow up in some unhealthy environment like I did aaaand next year I'll graduate and well I want to look my best :) (nice goal uh?) so.. that all hehe hope I make friends 2

I'm going to be a dentist I'm just one year away of graduating :D If you get on the dental H. thing we might work together someday :D that would be nice :p

Well the goal thing I'm trying to eat as healthy as I can, I hope I can make it haha I have a lot of cravings during the day !
And I want to do some exercise.. don't know what to do yet haha but I'm getting there

How about you? any tips? :S

hmmm... well some of the best advice i can give is to definitely count calories... this has worked wonders for me. because i was totally overeating because i didnt take into account portion sizes and calories. D: omgosh for example i was eating about 600 calories worth of peanut but for a snack x__X i had no... soo now i measure everything and i use 85 calories of peanut butter (1 tbsp) instead of like 6 or soo tbsp.

with cravings i try to find something else to do =P mmm thats why i have spent soo much time posting lately lol. but once its starts getting warmer i think i may go outside and chill.

i would recommend starting simple. just one change at a time. lol. i realized recently that my biggest problem was i wanted to just change everything at once 0_o and it never worked i would go a few days and then become exhausted and quit or binge >.> . for now i am just focusing on staying below 1400 calories a day (most of the time >=D ) and trying to get some cardio in..

oooh and calculate your BMR... just google it lol. this will help you set your caloric intake for weightloss... mine was like 2300 or soo... soo that is about a 900 calories deficit a day.. soo almost 2 pounds on its own and by the time i workout ... i have burned at least two pounds a week... and those numbers add up =D

sooo just keep trying^^ and dont give up!!

ps: think about creating a diary on the forum. its fun for venting successes and keeping you accountable.

I think I'll take walks with my dog and as I go change to jogging and who knows haha someday I'll run big time, cause right now I f I run I can't even breathe.

I'm eating fruit salads or veggie omelets (no cheese hehe) in the morning
Evenings I have tuna salads or a salad with chicken & veggies
At night.. well a yogurt, a fruit or something light... I don't have snacks u think I should?

some ppl are telling me 2 eat more times a day like 5 or so but I still don't know, I'm kind of confused already hehehe

P.S. How can I count calories? I don't know how much are there in every meal hahaha.. do you know where I can see amounts and stuff?

hehe well just think the 3 of us are going to make guys (and girls too 0_o ) WANT to come and see the dentist ^.~ we are going to be total babes! :3

hmmm i think its all up to you about whether you should eat snacks or not. lol. i know i quit completely (on my good days) but if i do get majorly hungry between meals i dont hesitate to find something healthy to munch on like an apple... hehe or a serving of doritos >.> 140 calories isnt bad... T_T lol

lol... mmm i read the labels and try to measure out the serving... and if it doesnt have a that...i just google "calories in ...." and normally i can estimate my calories from there lol. eventually i would like to buy a food scale once i prove to my parents that this time i am really going to lose the weight. lol. with the scale you can measure grams and that will give you an even more precise and efficient calorie count.

Good luck, and we're all here for support. As for the parentals, you may need to start cooking for yourself. Nutrition is about 70-80% of any weight loss success. Feel free to ask any questions and I'll be glad to help out!

I found a place to count calories :D I counted how many I had yesterday.. 1214.. is that ok? im 5'4 , u?

how much calories are you all having per day?
 
hehe we are like that same height... im 1/2 an inch shorter than you =P

mmm well... i am eating 1400 calories... and then i will reduce more as i find the need to eat less. i know your stomach sort of shrinks on its own eventually lol hopefully 0_o

lol ohhh yeah those guys are going to have quite a hard time concentrating :3 xD

I'm counting my calories at about 1500 right now. I think any deficit will be good. Some people think that 1200 is too low. Some people think that 1500 is too low. I would recommend something that you can stick with for a long time. :D
 
... that would be a lot of calories 3400 ..something like that i guess yeah its just 4 u guys lol

I've been with 1.200 yesterday and today and well I'm not hungry and I feel pretty energetic xD , if I do have a negative change i think I will go up to 1.500 cal :p
