hey i think you sorted the ticker business out. i seen another post of yours. welcome to the forum.

what made you choose 1200? i'm on 1600+ and excercise and still losing.

good luck with your goals

I am sure that you should be having more than 1200 calories. You need to be getting a lot of nutrients to stay healthy - and that will be difficult to do on 1200 calories. I had good weight loss in the past week and eat more than 1600 calories a day and have been on my project for a year now.

I do not need to take diet suppressants because I eat lots of food. I am never hungry.

hey and welcome! Yes, i'm on a 1200 cal a day. Its working for me, i still eat everything that i need to stay healthy, i do sometimes go over and thats ok if i do. But if your going to do this and do go over do freak out, if you do then it might not work for you. Also just do what works for you! good luck!:waving:

And how are you going to cope when your body gets used to 1200 calories and stops losing weight on it?
What is the point of eating so few calories that you need to take appetite suppression tablets to get by on such a small amount of food if it is not necessary to lose weight?
What will happen when you stop taking appetite suppression tablets?

Just want to say welcome! The forum members are very supportive and can answer all of your questions! Good luck with your goal, and know that we are all here for you on your journey!

thanks for the warm welcome and comments..to answer your questions i am only having 1200 calories because that is what the dietitian has told me to take and to be fair i really am not hungry, i realise that is down to the appetite suppresants and that ultimately i will have to do this myself but it is giving me the big push i need to get started as i have failed when tryin other diets by 'snackin' to excess lol.. i am not sure if the calorie intake changes after a while as i have only been on this plan for nearly 2 weeks and have lost 11lb up to now without being hungry.. i am also taking water tablets and multi vits as prescribed by her so i suppose i will have to see what she says when i go back on friday... thanks once again and hi to everyone x

If you lose weight at that kind of rate - I think that you will increase the risk of the loose skin that you mention being a fear in the UK thread.

Have you spoken to your GP about the advice that this dietician gives - particularly pertaining to your rate of weight loss and loose skin fears? I know people who are taking very low calorie diet products - and I know that their GP advised against that action. Read all the info on the sticky threads - particularly those pertaining to nutrition. There are many people on this forum who have lost as much as you want to lose and more by eating healthily and never needing appetite suppressants or water tablets.

I snack all day long - but have healthy snacks. You need to be learning new eating habits.

At the end of the day - it is your body and the choice is yours.

Hey HappyShelly...
Welcome aboard!!

Suppressants can work against you in the way Omega says. The slower you lose weight, the rate of skin pulling in will be better ...

I know it sucks losing weight slowly. I am losing it VERY slowly .. I am also on a drug that make you gain weight I found out ...so thats why it is so hard for me ...

but I am sure you will reach your goals, whichever way you choose to do it...just make sure to read the stickies threads and becareful ... because Xenical can be pretty tuff if you were the one asking about it ..

Xenical makes part of the fat you intake not stick to your waist ..it makes your body work differently ... and when you come off of it ..don't be surprised if you gain some back ..because your body will go back to what it did before, or how much fat it took in before ...

so becareful hun

best wishes

and start a diary ... that would be a good idea .. I was looking to see if you had a diary and you don't yet ..lol

well I hope you reach your weight loss goals ...
