Hi! im new here and not exactly sure how things work just yet, came across the site and thought it was pretty great! Annnyways My names Dana, im 23 and in 2011 i lost 50 lbs between May and September (starting weight was 294, went down to 244) and now after the winter i would like to start losing again (i plateaud at 50 lbs lost), idealy another 50-60 lbs (keep in mind im allmost 6' feet and naturaly curvy) so my goal weight is about 190 ill be fine with that.
I do 1 hour of zumba class, 1 hour of kickboxing class and 2 hours or belly dancing class every week. With the weather getting nicer im going to start walking and hiking again.
I eat healthy, mostly chicken and natural peanut butter for protien, lots of fruit and veggies, minimal dairy and carbs, when i do eat carbs there whole grains and if i have a hankering for a potatoe i eat a small portion with salsa apose to sourcream or butter, i dont eat salt, i try to get my daily intake of fiber. My downfall is sweets! I looooove my chocolate! So instead of an ohenry or carimilk bar i go for a nice dark chocolate. I also let myself cheat every now and again so I dont deprive myself and induldge.
I could go on forever about my habbits but my real reason for posting is; last year when I had lost the 50lbs I was in a weight loss group and it really gave me that extra kick in the butt to do something about it. Stepping on a scale infront of someone every week is a real motivator! So the group is over and Im looking for suport from another place and that how i found this site! Was wondering if anyone (possibly around my size) would be willing to do a friendly competition? I know personally Im competitive and having to tell someone how much iv lost each week would help me. Does anyone feel the same way? or would be interested in this???
