I'm 33 yrs old, female, 201lbs looking to loose the same 60lbs i've gained/lost several times in the past 10 years.. at least now I've got an idea as to WHY i struggle with my weight..I've always dieted and not committed to changing what i'm doing wrong...

I'm doing a blend of many "diets" that have parts that have worked in the past, in hopes of coming up with a long-term way of eating...

I'm avoiding wheat, sugar, corn and potatoes right now.. oh and anything artificial (we are about 90% organic - avid gardeners/raise chickens/eggs, etc)

I feel really good (been strict for 4 days.. ;) just got my vitamix blender to help me add in more fruits/veggies (allowing more fiber than juicing)

I'm also taking a few supplements and 200 ius of Hcg (i'm not following the HCG Protocol, but a variation based on what worked for me before).. so again.. I'm just kinda trying to figure out what my body likes and doesn't like.. but I'm feeling like a true O blood type, hunter gather.. fats/proteins do my body good.

Oh and no alcoholic drinks.. summer was filled with beers and daquris!
I'm concentrating on good fruit/veggie carbs, whole natural foods, healthy proteins (eggs and naturally raised meats)

Spot on, you don't need to look any further for answers:)
I dieted up and down all my life and it wasn't until I decided that it doesn't need to be a diet but a lifestyle change that it really seemed to work.
You'll find by reading diaries that most of the people that are having a success with this have come to the same conclusion as you. It doesn't mean starving yourself or depriving yourself but just making better choices on a daily basis and when you do eat more fattening things try and make it a conscious decision to do it not a binge and then eat better or exercise more for a few days to make up for it. It's also not a race to the finish so don't get obsessed over the scales. If you keep it up the weight will come off and stay off .
Good luck and let us know how you are getting on. There's loads of great advice in the forums and always somebody around to ask your questions.
Start a diary in the diary section and you'll soon have online friends. :)
