I just thought I would introduce myself to all of you on this forum. My friend recommended it to me and so far i have found it very motivating. :) I am hoping that this will help keep me focused as i want to reach my goals and surprise my husband who will have not seen me in almost 10 months by the time we see each other again.

My name is heather and I am 24 and have a 3 year old son I am currently in a size 26/28 and hope to get back down to at least a 18/20 if not smaller as thats what i was in when if first met my husband.

I am new here too...isn't it a great place? I hope to make many friends here and to exchange weight loss tips with each other.

How much time have you got before your husband gets back? You will need to divide the amount of weight you want to lose by the amount of time you've got in which to lose it. Once you have this info you will then be able to give yourself targets and goals based on that information.

One technique I use to keep me focused on my target weight is to keep a picture in my mind of what I'll look like and how I'll feel once I've lost the weight. I imagine being able to fit into my slimmer fitting clothes and all the compliments I'll get once I'm slimmer. I believe that if you repeatedly see it and feel your weight loss in your imagination, your path to achieving it becomes smoother.

I wish you lots of motivation, willpower, determination, persistence and patience on your journey...victory will be yours.
