Hi guys and girls i'm new here and i'm serious about losing weight now.

Alittle about myself
I am 25 years old male
i am 5'11 and i weight 255 i know it alot for my height
I am quite active and i am in decent shape acutally i can keep up with all my friends in sports my endurance is on the weak side though and i know i need cardio for that.
My problem is i eat way too much obviously and need to practice some more self control so i guess i need more help in the nutrition part of losinig weight so if anyone can give me tips it would be much appricated.

Welcome to the forum! You will be able to find lots of support on here! As far as nutrion goes, someone once told me that if you want to lose weight all you have to do is buy 90% of your groceries on the outside of the store that is where all the fresh produce, fresh meats, dairy are and only 10% of your grocerie should be bought from the center aisle. That person had lost a lot of weight herself so to me it was good advise. Also portion controle is important just cause your eating healthy foods doesn't mean you have to eat too much of it. A lot of people use calorie counting as a way of weightloss but you have to figure out how many calories you need cause you don't want to go too low that will be counteractive to what you are trying to do. Read up people online diary you will find lots of tips and if you write your own people will encourage you and give you idee!!!!
