A little about myself, I've been working out now for about 19 weeks and I've lost 45lbs, I still have 35 more to lose and I'm seeking a site for more motivation, I work full-time, have a full-time family as well and I'm starting to feel it catching up on me and want to continue losing weight and feeling heathly, but I don't want to start getting lazy so I need some people who are in the same boat. I'm happy that i've lost 45lbs but 35lbs seems so much more to lose and i'm starting for some reason to feel a little defeated. It sounds so silly because I believe what i've done so far is amazing, but i know i've been here before, where i've lost the weight and than gained it back. So i'm here to stay, to do a diary, meet new friends with the same goal of losing weight and to find inspiring stories to motivated me to continue. Maybe even learn some new tricks/exercise to lose weight?

Hope to meet you all - amy

:) Hi Amy,
Welcome to the forum. First off you have what it takes to get that 35lbs off. It is normal to feel a little defeated. This is a great place to come for support and encouragement. i am new, but have been touched by the members here who are very committed and caring. They share good times and bad. tips and personal stories and also other web sites that they have found success with. Also you have a wealth of information that you can offer others. I was inspired when i read your post. Girl you are a teacher and expert of sorts who has been there and done that. 45lbs is no small feat. You are going to reach your goals. Keep hanging around here and some of the long time members will really get after ya. Keep doing what you have and don't stop moving. Glad to have you aboard!

Hi xstitcher :)

Welcome to the WLF!

Woo! CONGRATULATIONS on losing 45 pounds!! Getting past the half way point is SUCH a good feeling!

The good news is that deep down, you KNOW you can lose 35 pounds - you have the proof of the 45 behind you!

The bad news, is you also know how focused you have to be, how much energy goes into actively losing weight, and sometimes with life, family and all, it gets tiring.

Sometimes I think we just need to take a little breather, and say, I need to maintain, right here for a little while. Focus on some small steps - just getting my water in, or just make sure I get 4 days of cardio instead of grinding in the 7 days.

Once you get past the overwhelmingness of knowing you still have plenty to go, then you can hit it again refreshed.

Good luck to you as you reach your goals :)
