Hi,
I just joined and I wanted to say 'hello'. I am looking for motivation and support for my weight loss and excercise goals...and hopefully...can give some, too.

My advice would be to get real about energy expenditure. Try this:


Or if you exercise regularly, multiply your weight in pounds x 15 calories for your daily maintenance amount. The numbers may seem high to you but ask yourself how much you really know about this business.

If you eat 20% below your maintenance you will lose weight. Anything wrong with four pounds a month? That's what I've been doing.

Thanks for the info....that is what I am trying to do. However, I have plateaued and need to stay motivated. I have picked up my exercise to 4 times a week....which is easy on nice days. It's rainy days like this that it is hard to get going.
