I just joined today. I am a male and weight 237 pounds. I am 5'8" and this is terribly over weight.

How does this website work? Do I post roll call everyday somewhere? How do I keep track of my progress? What kind of diary entries should I make?

=) well this is a forum to talk about anything and everything related to weight loss and even fitness. You can ask questions, check how other people are doing, methods that work or dont, etc.. just look around.

If what you're looking for is a diet journal, I suggest you check fitday.com which is free of use and allows you to check your daily calories, exercises, BMR based on lifestyle, stats, etc..
