Hey guys well here it is my introduction, although I started changing my life style four weeks ago I thought i'd join the forums and use them for advice and as a mean to track my progress. I'm 19 years old and I live in the United Kingdom with my dad and I've applied to study Computer Science at University which if I'm accepted will start in September and could be at any of the following Universities (Leicester, DeMontfort, Newcastle, Leeds metropolitan, Birmingham City). On boxing day something inside of me changed I could no longer buy a 2ltr bottle of full fat coke and consciously drink it. During the last time I had sex (first time in two years) lets just say a big disappointment and I don't want it to be like that again I miss how it used to be. As well as this having to shop for my clothes in XXL/XXXL is no longer something I wish to do and with university coming up I've decided in order to make the most out of the life style I'd like to trim down dramatically. After coming to this realization I started walking everywhere including 3.6miles a day to work I've not had a drip of Coca-Cola in 4 weeks I'm eating alot less usually a lowfat 6'' sub with no sauce and any sort of dinner in the evening cooked by my dad a chef (so he knows about nutrients etc) and so far I feel amazing I'm not sure how much I've lost as I don't know my starting weight but i'll be weighing myself at the gym on Monday after work. In terms of where I want to be I'd like to ultimately weigh 12 stone whilst being lean or 12-13 stone and start weight training although I'm just focusing on weight loss at this moment in time. My hobbies and interests include Poker, Pool, Clubbing, Competitive Gaming, Walking and Live Music. Anyway thats about it I'll be making a progress thread which I'll embedd in my signature on Monday feel free to view it or post.

Welcome fellow IT geek! I wish I had chef in my life to cook me healthy foods. As it is, I'm stuck cooking for myself.

I know you said you haven't weighed yourself, but for a lot of people on these boards, having a starting weight and a full body shot of yourself at that weight is a huge motivator. When you get down, and feel like what you're doing isn't working, you can compare your new self, to your old self. It's been really inspiring for me.

Welcome to the forum! Hopefully you'll find this place as helpful as I have! There's so many people here, eager to give you advice, tips, motivation, and encouragement! You can do this!

Stop over to the diary section- you may want to start one yourself! But it's also a great place to read about the fantastic accomplishments other have made- and I'm sure it'll give you inspiration that you are going to attain your goal :)
