Hey all,

Nice to find a forum like this. I am 26 year old female from India. I never took health seriously all these years, weight has been going up and down forever, but I can never ever remember me being a size 4 or 6, may be a size 8 three years back.

Anyways, I guess my time has come to take things a bit seriously and start focusing on taking care of my body. I have joined a local gym out here; by the way I am from a very small town, so there is a gym with all the equipments but minus instructor.

Here is my routine for now—I walk up to the gym from my home, takes half an hour of hilly walk, spend 1.5 hours doing cycling, rowing, weights and other things which I can’t even name……yes I am that ignorant. Walk back home again takes another half an hour.

I am looking forward to learning more and spending more time researching out here.

Cheers :cheers2:

hi workit,
Its great that you've started to take better control of your health.
You've got a serious workout lined up there!
I workout regularly, but you've got a more intense workout than mine. And I've been working out for 10 years
One thing to watch out for is that you're not over working out. Thats not healthy.
For good fitness tips with an Indian perspective, check out the Fitho fitness blog at fitho.in

Thanks for fitho.in, Dhruvg. Already found this topic to be very interesting --->Doing crunches for weight loss? Don’t waste your time

And I just realised that you are the one maintaining that particular blog. If you don't mind, I really would like to know a few things from Indian point of view, not sure if I should contact you here or your blog, please let me know. I seriously am totally ignorant about the whole working out routine or any of that matter. I was baffled when I first stepped into the gym :ack2:

I have always loved walking, so I guess walking comes easy for me. But I have to say that even though you see me doing a much intense workout, I don't do anything else the whole day. I have a pretty lean office job without any stress or walking around or anything.

Thanks again. :cheers2:
