Losing the last 30lbs is not fun I need help I am almost there but my body is not sheding anymore weight, what do I do

Some people find that changing up their routine helps the body get out of a rut and start losing again. Something like changing from morning to evening exercise, upping the intensity, doing HIIT or eating MORE calories for a week and then reducing again. How much have you lost already? How long have you been stalled?
 
So far I have lost around 40lbs (it took me 8 months to lose I was going to the gym on and off) and my goal is to lose 30 more so that I can get down to 140 (the lowest 130) I try to drink plenty of water, I cut out sodas 2 years ago, I eat a lot of carrots and fruit but as soon as I eat 1 slice of bread it seems like my body gains a pound that same day and it is very upsetting because no matter how many vegetables I eat I am at a stand still at 171, I have even tried to starve myself for 4 days drinking nothing but water, orange juice and adding fruit lemon juice I lost 8 pounds and as soon as I put a piece of fruit in my mouth I gained the 8 pounds right back, I walk almost 4 miles a day and I try to get to the gym 2 to 3 days a week, but I seem to have a problem with eating the right food all the time

You need to get a diet sorted that you are able to stick to and put a cheat day in there once a week.

The cheat day will help you to stick to your diet a little more easily as you will have the foods you are craving and hopefully make it that little bit easier.

Stop weighing yourself after eating a slice of bread! (I know your probably not that extreme, but what I mean is weigh once a week and thats it. Focus on the bigger picture.)

Don't let a small gain in weight get you down, but instead channel it into a positive and make your next workout that little bit more intense!

What do you do when your in the gym and how long do you spend there?

I stay between a half and hour and 1 hour I do the treadmill for 30 mins then I will do the bike for 20 and then the last 10 mins the elliptical, let me give you an example of what I eat and tell me what I need to add, Breakfast 1 apple, Snack carrots, Lunch salad, Snack 1 apple, and dinner salad
 
You're most likely going to be taking in too little calories judging by that, meaning your body is gonna go into Starvation mode.

Eat more, but not crap. Proper nutrition. Eat a proper breakfast, that helps with energy for the day. 1 apple is ridiculous.. ;) (87 Calories only)!
 
Can you give me examples of what I need to add to my diet so that I am not starving but I always burn a lot of calories and how many calories should I be eating per day to lose the 30lbs by Feb of 2007
 
You should be eating 1200 per day at the BARE MINIMUM. More if you are exercising. Any lower than this and your body thinks it's starving so your metabolism slows down to keep you alive. The longer this goes on, the less calories you will burn. There is a website that Pequin always recommends called that can give you a better idea of what to eat. You are currently only eating fruits and vegetables, you need to add whole grains and lean protein.
