hi there,

I'm Björn, 27, 181cm tall and weighing 118kg right now.

Planning to do cardio workout in the gym about 5-6 times per week, target pulse between 150 and 160.

This time, I want teach myself how to jog/run again. Four years ago I had a fitness period as well, losing 32kg in 4 months, but did it all with walking on the treadmill and using the crosstrainer.

My employer's whole office is participating in a public 10km-run in our town end of April, and I want to participate as well.

I'll maintain a diary here for the time being, and add pictures as well.

Hi there :) good luck with your running and your weight loss. 5-6 times per week at the gym seems alot! lol or maybe im just lazy, mostly i go 3-5 times depending on my schedule ;p

well, it's a lot, but I'm the kind of person who cannot for the love of the universe multitask.. I cannot live my life and effectively do sports and lose weight at the same time..

so I'm putting the cardio and weight-loss work-out into 2-3 months of consensed ambition.

I know (or hope) that once I reach a certain weight I'll feel better about myself and life in general and won't even get the chance to fall back into depression.

As my life is currently sharply turning upwards (in all other respects), I do believe that I can a) lose enough weight and become fit enough to attend a 10km-run in end of April, and b) survive the following Dutch winter..
