Hey everybody, I'm completely new here. I'm checking out this site for some advice on my situation.
I am a very naturally thin guy, almost too thin. I am also very tall. I have a physically demanding job and that is about the full extent of the exercise I get. I am very fastly approaching the age of 30 and am tired of being a beanpole.
I am looking to get myself in better shape. I don't necessarily have to be huge, but I'd like to gain some weight in the right places and just feel better in general.
Here is where I am getting a little concerned...I used to have to exercises in high school P.E. to warm up which I was quite good at (I was never athletically inclined otherwise). I haven't done these things since I was a teenager, which doesn't feel like that long ago, but it's been 12-15 years since I've done these exercises on a regular basis. I cannot hardly touch my toes anymore while standing and I actually could not do a sit up when I tried to do it. I never was able to do a push up correctly and I feel like it takes everything in me to just get in the position to try.
Am I really that old and broken down now that I can't even do these things anymore??? Has anyone had similar experience? I'd really like to hear your thoughts on this. Please chime in and give me some feedback if you have something valuable to say. Thanks!
