Hi Everyone!

My name is Katie and I'm 23 years old. I am 5' 6" tall and the last time I checked I weighed 128 lbs. I did some running in high school and I would like to start again. Does anyone have any advice on how I should start? Thank you! :eek:
 
Were you interested in just running or an overall fitness program? Based on your height and weight, it sounds like you are HWP. As long as there is no medical reason for you not to, you can start today. The sooner the better. There are a number of stickies that should help you get started, then post any questions you have.

I have always been active. I am not a person who can sit and waste time watching television. I feel my best when I am involved in activities that give my whole body a workout. I miss the awesome feeling of running, like I did in high school. How long a distance should I start out doing? Should I just start out and see how I feel after five miles? Katie.
 
You should probably start with a shorter distance than 5 miles. Try 2 miles. If that is not a challenge, go 3 miles or go faster.
