Hi Everyone!

A little about myself...

I'm 22, and a full-time college student. My height is 5'11'', and I weigh usually between 150 and 160. I'm pretty thin, obviously.

My back story is kind of weird. When I was little, I would say I was a normal sized kid. Everything changed when my family got a computer, and I discovered an immense love for food. Around 6th grade (I don't even know what age that is anymore, 12-13?) I was pretty chubby and fat. I continued to get fatter and fatter until after my sop$$$$re year of high school, at about 16. At this time I would say I weighed probably over 200, maybe 210 or 215, maybe more. I never weighed myself, and I didn't care about how I looked. But after my sop$$$$re year, I decided I didn't want to be fat anymore. I had no guidance in how to go about this, so I did the only things I knew how to do.. I ate way less, and I rode my bike 8 miles a day. After doing this everyday for a couple of months and through my junior year of high school, I had lost a lot of weight, but way too fast. I did the worst thing possible and essentially stopped riding my bike, or working out at all until... well... about a year ago. I gradually lost more weight through college (going to school full-time and working full-time and worrying and hating the horrible dorm food), but none of it through exercise. Mostly just eating wrong.

This has left me with what a lot of people (or so I have read) on this forum are dealing with.. some loose skin, and stagnant fat in some areas. Mostly for me the skin (if it really is) is on my stomach area, and my thighs.

So present day... I don't work out very hardcore. Mostly, I do push-ups, work out with dumbbells (20lbs), squats, crunches, and recently have started running.

My current problem is that I don't really know what to eat. I might make a thread in nutrition about this, or here, at a later time. But I don't eat as much as I should. When you look down and see what appears to be loose skin on your stomach, eating isn't the first thing that pops into your mind.

Doing the exercise that I have been doing has really helped to tone me up, even since I have started running... which is only about maybe 3 weeks. I have definitely noticed an improvement in my stomach area, which leads me to think maybe it is some fat under there still. Also, my man boobs (not the proper term) have shrunken a lot through running. My thighs are more toned and the skin seems to be tightening up. I should also probably say that my loose skin (if it is), isn't very severe. It's noticeable, really. It annoys, I don't like it. I hate looking at it... but I also have to take into account that I am underweight for my height, and my body can stand to add some pounds.

So that is where I am now. Sorry this is a long intro, but I figure I might as well put some details out there early. I'll be back when I figure out what exactly I want to do, and look for some tips from you guys.

In closing, hi everyone!

Hi Bukowski--Welcome to the forum!

Since you are at a low weight, and have a little bit of loose skin, if I were you, I would do a bulk and fill in that loose skin with some muscle! Read around here and you'll get lots of good info about how to best do that!

Good luck!
