Hi Everyone

Hi everyone, Im new here and have committed to getting myself in better shape than pre kids :D

So, I just wanted some advise especially about the way im eating. Im 129lbs, 5'6" so I don't need to lose weight I just want to tone, get really tight

For breakfast i have 3 egg whites with wheat bread, lunch ill have some kind of meat (protein) no carbs and dinner the same, plus another 3 egg whites. Once in a blue i'll splurge and eat veggie crisps. I also drink 2 glasses of PP a day as well as vitamins and work out everyday.

Is this diet healthy or should i be adding more carbs?

Thanks!

Do you have any idea of how many calories you're intaking daily? I have a suspect that you're not getting enough.
I also think you need to add in some carbs, the only carbs you're currently getting are from a bit of white bread in the morning which isn't great. Swap the white bread for wholegrain and add some veg and fruit into your daily diet.

As for the workout, what are you doing? Working out every day usually isn't a good idea, your body needs to rest and repair sometimes

Thanks all for a warm welcome

CCR - Thanks for the advise. I added more veggies to my diet today. Green beans and brocolli. I thought that to restore and rebuild your muscle you should stay away from a lot of carbs? Or do you just eat carbs in moderation? The only carbs I get now is the wheat bread I eat in the morning? I'm not sure how to calculte my calorie intake but I do eat when I'm hungry. Just small portions like a slice or two of turkey for example.

Wow, I've actually been working out everyday because I workout at night at home (don't have time for a gym). I work out about 40 minutes, mostly abs. I see a difference but I'm aiming for higher. Every other day I do legs and arms. I also dance till I sweat every night. I rest on the weekends but even then I've gotten into the habit of tightening my legs, butt, and abdomen during walking, sitting, etc....Is this a bad thing?

MellowGAman- I've been looking around, this forum has given me some good tips. Thanks.

Welcome! :)

I noticed you said your workout was mostly abs, with alternating arms and legs.

There is a lot of info here on how to get great abs, also many examples of good workouts. Check out the women's wt lifting section, but also look in the men's too.

Most of the forums have stickies at the top that have a lot of good info crammed into them, also if there is a great search feature so you can search for posts regarding something specific.

Welcome to the forum!
