I am about half way through my weight loss battle and decided I would join a forum where I can get advice as the weight loss becomes more difficult and be able to help out those just starting to get healthy.

I am a guy in my late 20's with a young family and in school for a health profession. I have a good bit of knowledge about the biochemistry and physiology behind weight loss but until the last year I never put it into practice.

I have decided to lose the weight now while relatively young when it is easier and look forward to getting to know you all!
 
Have you started a diary/journal yet? Keeping a journal is a great way for other members here to track your progress and offer some valuable input and advice. You can write whatever you want in your journal - statistics (current weight, meal choices, exercise log, etc), rants about your day, ask questions, whatever. We all do a pretty good job of checking in on other members to see how they're doing, so maybe that's something you might want to think about doing.

Anyway, welcome to forum. Good luck with finishing your journey. You're half way there, so you should be REALLY proud of that.
