Hey everyone!! My name is Nazia and I'm new here! :) I've been a yo-yo dieter for ages and I'm tired of it and I want to lose weight for the better this time around. I just got a gym membership so I'm super excited about that! Does anyone have any tips or suggestions for me as my hardest challenge is definitely going to be staying away from sweets and snacking in between on things that aren't so good :).

Some great advice I found on this forum when I joined last year regarding snacks -> There's a bunch of snack options that are around 100 calories, and once I learned which ones satisfied which cravings for me, it really helped to have them on hand in advance. My 'sweet snack' is hot chocolate. Another thing is portion control: I love pb and crackers, so a good snack involves a tbsp of nut butter and 10 low fat crackers on a plate with 1/2 an apple, sliced, which I've worked out to 100 cals. I'm sure you'll find snacks that work for you, too.


The long-time members will have better and more advice for you, for sure. Maybe in the meantime, you can plug "snack suggestions" into the search engine and see what comes up.
