Hi Everyone,

A quick introduction, I'm a 34 year old guy and as of December 30th, I clocked in at a very scary 302lbs. That number and a few Christmas pictures later are enough for this to end.

I've set a personal goal and promise to my oldest son that when I get down to under 200lbs, he and I will be booking a trip to hike to the Mt. Everest Base Camp. We both love to hike and while I had a successful hiking trip with him in England this past summer, I know I can do way better.

I'm going to start a daily diary with more details. Please have a read and give me the motivation I need to keep going. I've been down this road before and stopped when I hurt my back doing routine yard work. This time failure is not an option.

Who knows, maybe I can get to a really healthy weight and climb that mountain, anyone want to sponsor me for $60,000? haha!

Welcome to the forum! If you need anything, you let us know. This is a pretty supportive group of people. You won't have problem with that aspect here :)
