Hi, just joined this forum as part of the beginning of a journey. I am 32. I am 5' 6" and I weigh 227 lbs. I am determined to lose 50 lbs. My target weight is 175. I know this will take a lot of time, so I am not looking for a quick fix. My plan is to cut out fast food, soda, and all junk food. I will only drink water, milk, and tea. I will workout 6 days a week. I will be doing the Insanity workout tapes with one night of heavy weight lifting. I have previously done a round of insanity with an 18lb weight lost, but I did not change my eating habbits. I did this in august 2010, but I have not worked out consistently since october. Wish me luck.
 
Thanks for all the good luck wishes. I wish you all the best of luck also. I am starting today by cleaning all the junk out of my cabinets and fridge.

Hi, I am new here too. What an inspiration you are doing great! Another thought for you, try not to burn yourself out by being to strict in your routine. It is just as important to "stop and smell the roses of life" too.

Changing your eating habits is the most important and one of the hardest things to do. Cutting out the soda and fast food alone will really help.

I suggest starting a journal/dairy on here to help keep track of your progress
 
Day four down, still going strong. I have been limiting my calorie intake to about 2000 for each day and I am not starved. No more soreness from the workouts.
 
Hey again daddybug. LOL it confuses me sometimes because there is another new user named BugDude. Anyway have you thought about starting a formal diary?
 
Hey, thanks for the advice. I have started a diary now. I think I did it right, I started a new thread in the section where everyone has a journal or diary.
