Hi everyone.

Okay, honestly I dont know what to do, or where to start.

I'm 16 years old, 6'6" and ... maybe 300 lbs.
I can tell what I'm doing wrong, between not eating right and not exercising. Losing weight is something I've been thinking about A LOT lately, but I'm just not sure what to do.

I could go to a gym thats close to my house, but... I'm a shy kid, working out infront of people just.. makes me kind of nervous.

If anyone has idea's about what i can do, please let me know. im feeling kind of desperate to lose weight.

A good majority of my freinds are... "scene", - just for an idea of what they look like. ^those are my closest freinds.

Not to be weird but... those are good looking kids, they wear skinny jeans and tight band Tee's. I can't wear those clothes, which makes me feel really out of place at times...

Its not like that the only reason i want to lose weight. I mean, I want to do it for myself, I think I would have A LOT more confidence around my freinds etc.

So please, if anyone can help me, give me any sort of advice... I would love it.

Thanks, Phil.

Welcome!
I am not as tall as you and top the scale higher than you. All I can say is regardless what anyone says or does... you are in control of your own life. High school is tough being on the bigger side. Trust me... I was there.
The majority of the people at the gym are going to be there for ya. If you have questions, their isn't a doubt in my mind that the majority of the others in the gym would be willing to help if they knew the answer.
their is a 1% of people at the gym are a holes. just avoid them.

Once you get started and are there for a week or two... you will hardly even notice the others there. you will get into your zone and concentrate on what you need to do...
You will do fine.

well.. i got kicked out of my highschool lol.

im going to a UCF Campus for my school.

and about the gym, my freind Dante goes A LOT, he's invited me to go a couple of times but... im kinda nervous about it.

seeing as im pretty much massive, i can tell people expect me to bench alot, etc etc.

and i dont want to look like a moron when i dont lol.
I've only worked out once, and i benched 145 i think it was... i just get really nervous there. xD

Stop trying to impress people. Do what will work for you. You are not going to go anywhere if you try and lift too much weight one day and are out for the rest of the week with a pulled muscle.
Go and do whats comfortable.
Start with lots of cardio... like treadmill, eliptical, stationary bike... things that get your heart pumping and lots of sweat.
Don't focus too much on the weights just yet.
