Hi everyone!

I'm getting so frustrated, I was so sore from running Sunday that I didn't go last night and I ended up gaining 1.6 pounds. I can't seem to get below 275 for nothing. So come heck or high water tonight I am going running.

Don't put too much stock on the scale...especially when you weigh yourself on a daily basis. Most of what you're seeing gained/lost is water weight. This is good, though, since 70% of fat is made up of water... but again, don't live and die by the scale. You're doing Helluh Awesome, though. Keep it up... and I expect some Bristol tickets when the race comes into town for my assistance :smilielol5:
 
That's what I get for being lazy last night, I was so sore from running that I decided not to go last night and that's why I gained that plus I have to stop eating the fries for supper. I've been having a serving of fries (baked) to help get some of my veggies in but I think it's starting to add weight rather then remove it.
 
I have to make sure I stretch really well this evening before I start running so maybe I won't be this sore next time. I kinda forgot to stretch at all last time, it's never been one of my strong suits.
 
I don't like stretching either. I think it's DUMB!! lol. But, supposedly it's something you have to do. Hahaha.

I gave up running and switched to elliptical. I just was so sick of shin splints all the damn time.
 
I'm so short I have trouble doing the elliptical not to mention I am so uncoordinated that I can't do the peddles and the handle bars at the same time. I didn't get to run last night either the high school where I run apparently had a track meet last night and didn't take the hurdles down and they took up half of the track. Tonight I'm definitely going to run even if I have to go to the gym and run on the treadmill. But I still lost the last of the two pounds that I had gained back even if I didn't get to excercise yesterday. I would just really like to get below 275 already, I'm halfway to my next goal and can't seem to get any farther.
 
I lost another pound today, woo hoo! I finally got below the 275 mark but I busted my butt at the gym last night to do it. I did a mile on the treadmill, the stairstepper for a while and then I went and swam laps for about 45 minutes. I probably would have lost more but my mom and I went to Applebee's and had the weight watcher meals last night.
 
Yum, I love that Applebee's has those WW meals. They are really good!! It makes it so much easier to order something and know exactly what the calorie count is!!

YAY :party: for Applebee's. lol.

Ya know, I hardly ever use the arm things with the elliptical. The ones that I use at my gym are like the elliptical, same concept, but instead of like "stepping" you more "swing" your legs back and forth and I like it alot better than the traditional elliptical. Usually I just suck and crunch in my abs as I'm swinging my legs back and forth and it feels like an awesome work out. I'll sweat about 1-2 pounds off lol.

That's how the ellipticals are at my gym but my legs are so short the stride is wider then my legs can go so I can't do very much with it. The new stair steppers at my gym are the same way but I did them for a little while yesterday I have a little more luck with it then the elliptical. I need to design one for short people. I'm starting to do a little better with sweating the pounds off since I started wearing a sauna suit when I work out. I have never sweat so much in my life as I did wearing one of the suits.
 
Holy crap I cannot even imagine wearing a sauna suit!! I sweat so much the way it is!! So what the heck is that like... a sweatsuit?
 
It's actually a plastic suit that helps you to sweat for some reason I don't sweat that much on my own that's probably why I don't lose weight any faster than I do. I didn't drop below 275 for long, yesterday I had some turkey pepperoni to tide me over till supper and I ended up gaining 1.8 lbs pounds back. I guess it was too high in sodium I didn't think to look before I got it. Plus that fact that I didn't get to eat supper till after 1 o'clock in the morning and I didn't get to excercise yesterday because of work probably didn't help.
 
sorry to jump in during mid convo, but i do not know how you can wear one of those sauna suits to work out!!

when i was in college, the wrestlers would use them to lose weight the day of the match...the one kid dropped like 8 lbs, i thought he was going to die. being curious of how much i could lose if working out in one of those, i tried it, even though i sweat a lot when i work out to begin with. i lost 3 lbs, of water weight obviously, and felt like i was going to die. that's just me though.

This weekend has been wonderful for me, I lost another three pounds. Which puts me at a total weight loss of 23lbs. Only three more pounds to go to be at my second goal of getting below 270.
 
Nice job!! Way to go :D

I normally sweat about 2-3 lbs every workout. lol. I love to weigh myself after before I chug loads of water, just to see the scale low. :D
 
I only got to swim last night so I didn't get as much of a workout as I would like to have gotten. But I have to look at it this way, atleast I didn't gain any weight.
 
I lost another 0.6 lbs this morning making my weight an even 272.0 now. I was hoping I would have lost more since I worked out like a mad woman last night but I'll take what I can get. I think my new addiction is becoming the elliptical, I didn't like it at first because most of the ones that have at my gym have a very wide stride and since I'm only 5'2" it was hard for me to use but I foud two of the machines that have a much smaller stride and now I love it.
 
Unfortunately, I gained a pound back this morning. I didn't get to go to the gym yesterday because of work and I wasn't able to eat supper until midnight last night. I'm hoping that the gain was just because of eating so late that it hadn't had time to clear my system. Hopefully, I will get to go workout Saturday if everything works out right.
 
I swear, sometimes it seems like every step you take forward you end up taking two steps back. In my case I lost three pounds this week and just from the two days that I had to work and not be able to go the gym I gaind 2.6 of it back. I'm hoping and praying that it's just water weight that I can get rid of pretty quickly. But it is getting so frustrating. I want to be down to atleast 240 before my doctor's appt in June. Not to mention the sooner I can get in the military the better off I'll be.
