Hey, so let me give you a little background on me.
I'm 5'10, 280some pounds, and I'm 21 years old.
As a kid I was big, but I was also incredibly tall. I've never had a huge amount of body fat because I was really muscular.
We started me in karate, dance, swimming and gymnastics at a very young age and I was very active.
I also didn't eat a lot of the typical "bad" foods like twinkies and such.

So when I was about 13 I was about a size 12. I was ABOUT 100 pounds lighter. The worst part is that I've consistantly gained approx 10 pounds a year, and that really sucks.
I used to go to the gym about 2 times a week, and I never ate all that badly.
I think my problem is the foods I eat?

But anyhow, I'm on this forum to make my butt move.
I'm planning on a 1000 calorie a day diet for a month to see if I lose any weight. I want to cut the fast food completely out, and watch the trans fats.
Oh and I haven't had soda in a very long time.
I had a serious letdown sometime last year when I got a personal trainter and she put me on a 4 day a week gym routine, and 2500 calorie a day lifestyle. I didn't lose one pound in 2 months, so I really lost my motivation.
I think with the less calories I might be able to see the results that I ever so desperately need, but I'm nervous that it might not be healthy. =/

My boyfriend is about 5'11 and weights 165 pounds, and it's depressing that I can't fit into any of his clothes.
Currently my pant size is anywhere from XL to 24. I have a huge "booty hump, and pants don't like those! lol.

So my ultimate goal for my height is to weigh about 150 pounds, and I'd like to be a size 10. Not just in stretchy pants but like a BCBG Max Azria size 10.

Hey, and welcome aboard. I love some anime also... I haven't grown out of my cartoon stage. I still watch 80's cartoon shows. I put them on my ipod and watch them as I am on the elliptical or bike.

You may want to check out a BMR calculator to see how many calories your body burns just to maintain your weight now. After you know that, you can figure out a safe deficit, like maybe a 500 calorie cut from your BMR. 1000 calories is prolly way too low for you. If you cut calories too much, you won't lose either. Your body will go into a fight or flight mode and kinda shut down, thinking its not getting food any time soon and store everything as fat.

I weigh 248 right now and am eating between 1600 and 2000 calories a day and am losing weight. So google BMR calculator and plug your numbers in. Good Luck!
 
Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!! good for you........ amazing weight loss already.. I'm so happy.. don't let nothing stop you from committing to your goal... just do it .........wooooooooooohoooooooo were all gonna be there soon... yup yes indeed....:party:

Oh wow, I never heard of bmr, just bmi. Thanks so much for the tip! That helps a lot!
