I use weight Watchers Points to lose weight. I have gained about 16 pounds during the summer. I am trying to get started back counting points again. I kept my weight down to 150 for two years and would like to lose 20 pounds by Spring/Summer. I am 62 years young, lol. I just weighed myself at 165.2 and I am 5'3" tall.

Hi Everyone,

I am new to this, well not new to trying to loose weight, but to this site. Hopefully my battle will come to an end soon.

Hi Chantz, I am having a hard time learning my way around the site too. But hang in there. I saved this thread to my favorites, so I could come back to it later to see if anyone left a message. This site has helped me to be moderated.

Ok, I found another way to get back to a thread: Chick on the name you left a message to and it will show all the post they made.

Hi Anna, you can also click on your "User CP" (located on the top left of the screen) and it will show you all the threads you posted in. At the bottom of the list, there is a link to view "all subscribed threads" so you can go back as far as you like. The posts that are in BOLD have new replies.

It took me a while to realize the User CP function was there because it kinda blends in with the site hehe.

Welcome!!
I wish I had a dog so bad! I love going for walks and jogs and it's another reason why I would love to able to have a dog :)

Anyways... welcome to the board! Keep us updated with your progress and good luck to you!

Thanks Daybehavior yes I used "User CP" to post my message to Chantz, but I can't seem to find your guys post, but once I get into my post I can click on your name and others that have post and fine all your messages. Heee yes I know it is me, but I will get the hang of it! Thanks for the help!! lol As I said I need all the help I can get and I will gladly accept it.

Thanks Jenniferag! Yes a dog is good to have around.

Hi AnnaGail,

Good to know I'm not the only newbie here. I'm not on here so much, but will try to come on more.
What country are you from if I may ask?
Well, the weight I guess will drop off now more quick, cause me and my bf broke up. Heart-ache does things to one.

Weight Watcher's is really, really incredible. I've been using it almost 5 months now; I've been looking for more people on this site to discuss it with, because I'm a little in awe of how effective and easy it has been to stick to.

Welcome to the boards, Anna, and best of luck to you!

SoCoSideshow, thank you and good luck to you too.

On WW's I kept my weight at 150 for two years. I got sick this summer and couldn't exercise and started eating too much of the wrong things and gained some of my weight back. I lost 24 pounds and kept it off for 2 years. If you stay with your amount of points you can lose. At the beginning I start losing kinda fast, then I slow now a little. I keep a list of foods that I eat and this helps me to lose more. It took me since August to get started back on watching points and exercising. I am back on the saddle and losing again. If you use your points for healthy food, you won't get that hungry and you can have a lot of free food. If you leave a point or two off and eat a free food you will lose more. Some Days I have more points and some days I have less, but at the end of the week my points equal out to the points I need per day. Once you get to your desire weight you can start eating more of the things you want and not gain. But just watch and maintain your weight.

Hi Anna, thanks for checking up on me on the other thread. Glad to see you didn't just disappear like a lot of people do around here. How much have you lost so far?

Hey Daybehavior, you are welcome. I am still here! If I ever leave on my own, I would post a massage before I left. If I disappear, it would be because I was banned from the forum, lol. I have lost about 3.4 pounds so far. My weight goes up and down a lot, so I will just have to wait and see. But I am motivated now, and when I get motivated I usually stay with it for a while (Head Strong!). How much have you lost since you joined the forum?

LOL good to hear Anna. I like to keep tabs on the people who joined around the same time as me, so I can be up to date on their situation without going through countless posts, and hopefully we can all share our victories later :) It's kinda like we're in the same "classroom" together if that makes sense hehe.

3.4 is very nice for about a weeks work! Anyway to answer your question, when I first joined I had already lost 11 lbs, but since then I've lost another 15. Kinda upset I only lost a pound last week but I'm totally over it. Its a new week...let us both keep rollin'

Have you started a diary yet? I may have read it and forgotten :-/

A pound a week is good, I would take that, as long as I could keep it off. No I haven't started a diary yet. Not sure where to start on the board with a diary. I haven't found the "Diary Section". Just read a diary or two that others have posted. I found a ticker and preview it and saved it, but it hasn't showed up yet. I am taking one step at a time on this forum and trying to read everything I can to help me. Do you have a diary? My ticker showed up hurray!

21pounds that is good!

Ok, I don't mind showing "Ticker Factory.com Weight Loss Ticker" showing on my Ticker. But how do I lose the TickerFactory email address? hmmmm

New Herbalife member..

Not new to weight loss OR to Herbalife, but I know it works and makes me feel great, which is why I'm back on it after many years off. I'm doing it for my children, as well as to reflect the proper testimony of my faith. It's easy for me to use Herbalife to make the best food choices, and to have more energy, as well as feeling better in general.

If others are also using Herbalife, would love to hear about it, but I need support from ANYONE who has 100+ lbs. to lose, who has had it on for years like I have. I'm only 46, and now is the time. Need to change my brain (food temptations & urges) as well as feeling full. Herbalife addresses all of my needs, and makes it easy to eat dinner with my children, after using the shakes as breakfast & lunch.

Trying now to get off Diet Coke (again) and switch out to water with the Herbalife tea in it.

I hope I don't get attacked for using Herbalife. I know different things work for different people, depending on motivation, body type, weight needed to lose, etc.

God bless...
Anita (adopt4Christ)
