Hi everyone I'm new!

Hello everyone here at weight loss forum. I'm new here and I've been reading some posts and looking at the before-and-after gallery and I have to say that this is an amazing community, congratulations to all those who lost weight (quite an inspiration for me to change unhealthy habits) and changed to a better and healthier lifestyle, and also good luck to those who are on their way to a complete change. :)

I know this isn't a weight gain forum but I'm still here for the inches-lost!

I'm 19 yrs old and 5'0 tall and I currently weigh about 90 lbs in the morning and 92 in the evening. I know it sounds like I'm anorexic but I'm not... I am underweight but I don't look that thin and I look bigger than other girls who are about my height and my weight. I'm from the Philippines and majority of the people are thin.

When I was 12-13 yrs old, I used to only weigh at around 75 lbs, and I was around the same height (I barely grew taller!). I used to skip lunch and didn't really eat that much I guess. But after that I just ate too much fast food and put on more than 20 lbs in 2 years. I was 98 lbs when I was 15. 98 lbs sure is really light, but I looked fat, no kidding. Basically, i was just all fat. I don't exercise at all! Like no sport, I don't even walk. I was never active...

I lost 8 lbs through eating less mostly in the past 3-4 years. So I'm now going to be in my senior yr in college and want to be in great shape during my graduation next yr April 2009. It's summer around here this time but I'm forgetting about hitting the beach because I have an on-the-job training.

As of now, I am quite bothered about my state because I seem so light on the weighing scale. I really need to exercise and eat healthier foods and eat MORE to gain more muscle and tone my body. I wish to weigh around 100lbs, without the fat, and with the muscle.

So currently I'm gradually trying to exercise... Around 20-30 minutes in the morning (just following 20-min workout videos from youtube) and i walk 45 minutes in the afternoon...

Hopefully I do gain the weight and lose the inches. So... I'll be looking forward to suggestions...

Hey. Welcome to the board. I know what you mean about being skinny but not having any muscle. Before I packed on the pounds I was 4'9" and 85lbs with ZERO muscle. Are you going to start weight training? That will really be beneficial to helping to put lean muscle. Is that what you do in the morning?
 
i really don't know where to start... But it's just ordinary kind of exercise in the morning... stretching and anything that would make me sweat. i'll look into weight training. thanks!!! :)
 
Hey welcome! Weight training is a good idea and anything that will work your legs to build muscle there will be good. I spin and my legs are pretty toned with muscle. Its my damn stomach i have to worry about. But good luck to you and welcome again!
