hi there, I just wanted to formally introduce myself and tell my story.

Growing up with two brothers I was the only overweight one. I loved to eat and i loved snacking more.

I was always the big kid, short fat and so on. Well one christmas we got our pictures taken in front of the tree, When I got the pictures back I was towering over all of them, the biggest and you could hardly see the tree. I vowed to get in shape. I joined the HS wrestling team and went from 215-155 in one season. it was done naturally with a lot of working out to cutting out my junk food. I still ate good solid meals just stopped drinking coke and went to diet coke and snacks. Anyway I was in the best shape of my life. this was 11th grade.

Fast forward a couple years to college. I went in at about 200 lbs, good weight for me im 5'10 i was pretty built. Well at the end of the year i gained the college 30.

fast forward a couple more years and you have what I am now. My last weigh in was at 285. I need to do something about it.

I am going to try my own diet. I want to try not to obsess over it. If i want pizza I will have pizza and not stress, I am going to work on portion control. Snacking as well, if im hungry I am going to eat a snack. Just make it a healthy choice and eat a handful instead of the whole bag.

I am also going to try to lift pretty normally, at least 3 times a week. Also play tennis for fun.

Well Wish me luck and I will place some photos up soon, Also wanted to say hello to everyone, there is some amazing stories on here.

p.s. about my username, my mother told me that she is going to have "I'll start tommorow" placed on my gravestone cause I used to say it to her so much lol.

Good luck to you my friend.

Honestly, weight loss is mostly about energy balance. If health is not your primary concern and weight loss is for right now, I will tell you that it is ok to eat pizza. Just as long as you maintain a caloric deficit. Without that, you WILL NOT lose weight.

If you are not going to eat totally clean, and again, I am not saying this is right or wrong, just make sure you get your necessary protein and essential fats. Beyond that, have fun. :)

I would suggest keeping a tally of your calories in for a couple weeks, especially if you don't start seeing results. It may truely open your eyes to how much you're actually taking in. I never thought I took in that much until I started trackign things.

Good for you!

:) Welcome to the forum.
It seems like you were really active and could eat more than now when all of us start sitting more (at home & at jobs).
It's hard to cut back on food once our habits are for eating more. Just getting more active and watching what you eat will probably take off pounds.
Success!! :)
