My name is Anita. Im a stay at home mom in the mountains of East Tennessee. I have two beautiful daughters that are the light in my life. I have a wonderful sense of humor and love making new friends. I love spending time with my kids, watching movies, reality tv and being online.

Ive struggled with my weight all of my life. Around Feb 1st, I was at my all time high of 267 lbs. It was time for a change. So I stopped drinking Cokes and changed to water, watched portion sizes, counted calories and read food labels. Ive lost 12 pounds so far.

Ive also started walking. Its hard for me because I have Fibromyalgia, high blood pressure and bone spurs in both heels. But Im taking it one day at a time.

This looks like a very nice board. Im glad that I found it.

Hi!! I'm a stay at home mom with 2 girls also! How old are yours? Mine are 3 and 9 (well, turning 9 w/i the month)

Congrats on your weight loss!! You'll keep loosing too, just keep at it!

You could start a diary..we all keep track of our diet and excersize and its a good way for us to check on ya!

Welcome aboard and let me know if you have any questions!

I'm assuming since you have Fibromyalgia, you visit a physician on a semi-regular basis. I'd talk to them about proper exercise and nutrition since you do have existing health problems, it'd be the safest thing to do. If you have a YMCA or community center then swimming or water aerobics may be a good low impact alternative that doesn't induce pain in your ankles.
