Hi everyone!
I'm Ellen and I've been working out for a few years now. (This sounds like an AA introduction)
I've been working out to no real results, I would look a little better and slack off. Recently I've read a book call Burn the fat feed the muscle by Tom Venuto and it's really motivating me to eat healthier, count calories and exercise 3 4 times a week. Pls let me know if you'd like me to email it to you.
I start carrying a little notebook and logging everything I eat and over a week noticed my calories were never below 2000 a day (no wonder the workouts didn't do enough!) Part of my problem was not setting any real goals / solutions. It's not that I can't lose weight , it's that I wasn't trying hard enough!
I signed up for 4 sessions with a personal trainer to learn new exercises and proper form and my goal is to lose 10 pounds (sounds little but the only weight I've ever lost before was around 3 pounds) , to fit into my new skinny jeans (which are terribly skinny) and be able to keep up in my cardio kickbox class without feeling like I can't walk properly for 3 days afterwards.
Hope to hear from people and to share/ get tips
