Hi Everyone just thought i would introduce myself, my name is Macca and i stumbled across this site while looking for tips and tricks to help me lost weight. Im an Aussie and have set myself up with a converter to lbs to help make it easier for all on here to see where im coming from lol,

Welcome to the forum. Explore the different sections - and read all the sticky threads in each section as they contain a lot of great information. There are some great sticky threads even in the newcomer section which help you get settled in. You want a ticker so that people know that weight that you have converted to pounds and your BMI. It will help people to understand what you are trying to do...
 
Cheers, have set myself up with a ticker, looks cool to track it and see my little car progress, now, to GET that progress!

On that note Omega i see your ticker and serious congrats, thats an absolutely sensational effort!

Thanks for your congratulations. I'm in maintenance now - so I watch my ticker wiggle around in my zone when I can be bothered to update it.

I did find my ticker very motivating on the way down and am sure that you will find yours motivating too.

Be sure to get a free account from - set up your profile information and track your food and exercise. That way you will be able to see your calorie balance - which is what gives you weight loss. You will also be able to hone your nutrition so that you have the right amount of protein, fibre, calcium, healthy fats, sodium etc. The levels to shoot for are in the nutrition section.

If I were you I would be shooting for
132fl oz water
132g protein as a minimum - but I would be trying for more
25g fibre as a minimum
1000mg calcium as a minimum
2400mg sodium as a maximum
...and see where that takes you for hitting your percentage nutritional targets.
