Been looking around for some encouragment and stumbled upon this site.

I am 19 and live in the UK.

Have a weight problem :(

Have started to diet on monday of this week, and its going ok i think.

Am only going to be weighing myself once a week.

I dont have a target. I could do with some help on setting one. Something to work to kind of thing.

Am currently 231 pounds and need to loose alot. All seems a bit to distant and an uphill struggle at the moment.

Would appreciate help and support guys :eek:
 
Hey Lila!!

For me, I've set 3 seperate weight goals for myself---it all seems so overwhelming if you think about how far you have to go, so I have mini goals. My first one, 203.5 to 175 pounds. Then, 175 to 150. And finally, 150 to 140 (maybe 135, still seems to far away to think about that)

I imagine a good first goal for you would be 199 pounds. And if you really, super focus you could accomplish your goal by New Years.

Now the struggle part---some days are going to suck and some days you'll be riding on cloud nine. When I look back at it now, from July 24 to today September 23---it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. It's all about being consistent. Keeping with it, even when there are freakin' cookies, and other yummy things everywhere you turn. When you get on the scale and see the great results, skipping the cookie seems like the best thing ever.

You can do this. Set your mind to it...and force yourself to stick with it through thick and thin and you can accomplish your goals.

I think this time my willpower has got alot to do with it.

Everyone was eating pizza at a friends house lastnight and i didnt have any. Am alot stronger this time i think :D
