hi all!! the weight is catching up to me.. :/

Hi everyone, my name is Evanna

Im about to turn 22 this thursday and i hate looking in the mirror, i already have stretchmarks and cellulite and honestly, upon first glance it doesnt look like im overweight but i have all this fat on my belly, arms, legs, and neckfat that seems to only appear when im laughing in a photo...as if to crash my happiness high upon looking at it (im always the one scrambling for the delete button).

It kinda crept up on me...i didnt gain it all at once, ive always eaten the right things, but enough for two people..and still weighed 105 pounds up until 5 years ago. I guess it all started catching up to me, i wasnt as active...and here i am at almost 140 lbs and im only 2 inches over 5ft.

Im especially worried since diabetes runs in our family among other things, im not grossly overweight but i dont want to end up being unhealthy in any way... i cant stick to exercise, so i thought i would register here, share my journey with yall, tell myself that im serious...and that im going to get active again whether my body likes it or not!

...so, in light of that, i remembered the only thing i ever stuck to before my sister moved was her tae bo video tapes. im going to continue eating right in the right portions and do tae bo on a regular basis starting tomorrow (or today rather...its almost 3 am)...because i deserve to be in better health.

as far as weight goes, im shooting for 120lbs....and as for inches...well...i wouldnt mind losing some lol.

...let yall know how it goes and please if yall have any advice its much appreciated, doing it alone sucks!

well i did tae bo wednesday, danced my butt off thursday, went bowling friday, and walked in the park saturday. unfortunately i was sick yesterday and today so couldnt exercise but after i get back from work tomorrow im hittin the cardio workouts again! :D

also...what i thought was pretty cool anyway...there was this game that has this punching bag youre supposed to punch as hard as you can and it gauges you strength from 0 to 900....i got 452! i didnt think that was too bad considering i dont work my arms out too much and im a girl...how about it?? :p

well ive been doing tae bo every day so far. i decided that i wasnt going to weigh in because weight doesnt really tell me anything so early. in the week ive been doing the cardio workout though, ive lost an inch and a half off my waist which is great BUT the other thing is that i feel energetic and confident...and ive been kicking myself for being intimidated by regular exercise in the past.

The drawback is that im anemic and i eat good but only two times a day (lunch and dinner), snacking on fruit, nuts, popcorn, etc. through out the day.

am i eating enough to be exercising every day with anemia?

i dont feel extremely tired or sore the next day after exercising so i assume its okay but sometimes just before i go to sleep my stomach starts to growl :(


...........does coffee count as breakfast? heh.:D
 
no coffee does not count as breakfast. it really is true that it is your most important meal of the day. you need that first meal to jump start your metabolism. fresh fruits and a high fiber cereal are alway a good fuel for you body in the morning. the fruits give you a boost in energy an the cereal if its high in fiber will fill your stomach keeping you fuller longer. hope that i helped in some way. good luck with your weight loss.
