Hey all,
I am new to this site obviously, but I have lurked around for a while and I like the community this site has to offer and there are many good facts and information as well!
I'm an 18 year old male, at about 5'10 250 lbs. I gained the weight all at once - in about a two year span. From age 14-16 I went from 170 to about 230, and I never really sprouted up or anything in that time, I just didn't play basketball as hardcore as I did in junior high. Ever since, I haven't been able to get down and gradually got up to 250. I dieted and ran for a week last year and dropped 7 lb's but gave up and gained it back + more, ha.
I am still active but only once or twice a week. My goal is to get to about 210 by August, staying at around 2000 cals a day and running at about 5.3 mph for 20-30 mins a day. Does this sound like a reasonable plan?
I hear that drinking green tea before a workout can help your body lose weight a bit faster... has anyone tried this? Also, I am wondering about diet soft drinks. There has to be a catch that there's 0 cals. Are they harmful in other ways?
Thanks!
