Hi all... Heard about this community and just joined

Hello,

I'm Stuart from London, UK and have heard about this community through various people at work. I've been looking for a beginner friendly forum for a while. The few I have joined have all been testosterone overdose fuelled and have not been that welcoming to someone new to the gym....Even they had to start somewhere, right?

I've been training 3 times a week for 3 weeks now after making every excuse I could not to go to the gym for years, but now my employer has moved office and I have a 'Fitness First' no more than 60 feet away, so I took the plunge.

I'm loving it so far, but have a few concerns and questions, so please bare with me if I sound like a real 'newbie'.

I will try to utilise the search function, but please don't flame me for making a mistake - I'm losing weight succesfully, but it'll be a long while before i'm perfect.

Hope to speak to many of you....

Regards,

Stuart

Stuart, I think you are just about over the first hurdle. It took me about 1 month to see tangible results and I think a lot of folks quit before then because they fail to see the results before then. Since you have been at it for 3 weeks you should be seeing or feeling improvements, albeit modest, already that you should be a positive reinforcement to continue.

There is nothing wrong with being new and just starting out, nor asking questions. The persons on this forum understand these things. Glad to hear your losing weight successfuly.

Welcome to the forum.
