Hi, a newbie here

Hi, my name is Susan. I have just very recently begun to workout regularly - and I have found that I really enjoy it. On January 20, 2009, I had gastric bypass surgery. I have lost 41 pounds since then. I started the day of surgery walking. I have gradually increased to 50 minutes a day (ok maybe 6 days a week - like does get in the way at times). I also do the weight machines like three days a week and swim two or three times a week. My husband also had the surgery on the same day. He is not quite as into the working out as I am. We have three kids and the oldest (13 years) and youngest (almost 4 years) are really getting into working out with me. I just finished my walk tonight and decided to search out other people and that way when I have questions, I have a group to go to. I am looking forward to asking my hundreds of questions to those of you who know your stuff.
 
Welcome to the forum. And congratulations on committing to fitness. It will really help you enjoy the kids more. Mine are my inspiration, they are 26, 6 and 22months. Remember, one day at a time and one step at a time and have fun.
