Hi ^_^ n00b with goals here

Hello!

I'm new to the whole fitness thing. I hated sport at school, and I like take away and carbs. I'm not obese, but I'm definately larger than I'd like to be.

I have goals I want to reach, because in the past year (I'm 20) I've started to play roller derby and go to the gym, and suddenly working out seems like fun. As much as I love going to the gym, I'm a bit stuck on how to get the results I want. These are my short term fitness goals:

- Getting below 20% body fat (Currently 28%)
- Getting a stronger core
- Evening out my legs (My right leg is larger then my left- Roller derby skates in one direction)
- Getting my legs stronger
- perkier butt
- Improving CV endurance (being able to skate at a high intensity for 30 minutes straight x2 with a 20 minute break in between)

In the longer term I'd like (these are all based on pictures):
- Legs and butt like Lady Gaga
- Stomach like Fergie
- Less than 15% body fat
- Great CV endurance (being able to skate at a high intensity for 1.5 hours straight)

I'd love any tips on how to achieve these goals, as well as anything to speed up fat loss (ie fitness shakes/pills, not "diet" pills.) I'd also like recovery tips: how do you keep going without getting dehydrated or exhausted? It seems that my brain wants to go but my body cant :)

Peace!
Emah.

Welcome to the forums. It is nice to have you hear. Good luck achieving your goals. I would suggest reading the stickies in the each of the sections and then post the remaining questions you might have for answers.

Listen to your body. And "speeding up" fat loss is the last thing you want to do. Take it off slowly, the same way you put it on. Eat healthy, whole foods.
