Hello everyone!

Just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm at uni in the UK and have my final exams in a few months. I know it'll be a tough time to lose weight so I'm joining the forum for motivation.

The reason why I want to lose it now and not after my degree is twofold- I own some beautiful tailored work clothes from when I was 17 at sixth form college that I need to lose weight before I can fit them for job interviews, and that I harbour ambitions to be a singer which means I should be watching my weight.

I also want to be slim for my 21st birthday at the very end of June, so this is my target point. I want to lose around 50 pounds and have calcutated that if I lose 2 pounds a week that will just about cover it.

I have already given up chocolate as that was my main vice and am starting an exercise regime over the weekend.

If anyone is in a similar situation I'd love the support! Cheers.

welcome to te site.. have fun while you're here..

chocolate isn't evil... if you love it -there's no reason why you can't incorporate it into your plan.. jut make it work within your total calories...

Hi! Welcome to the forum! I'm in pretty much the same situation as you. I'm a 20 year old university student with about 55lbs to lose, I also want to lose about 1 or 2 lbs a week. Good to see I'm not alone in my situation :).

Thanks everyone, really appreciate your support.
BTW, I know chocolate isn't evil but it's not a necessity and I can easily just not eat it. I feel better already since when I eat chocolate it's very hard for me to stop!
Much love to all, feel free to message me etc
