My name is Ashley, I'm a 19 year old stay at home mom. I am not exactly new here but this is the first time I'm doing more that just looking around. I have always had an issue with my weight, but it wasn't very bad till I got pregnant with my son. He is almost 2 now so I really can't use the "baby fat" excuse anymore. I am at the heaviest I've ever been in my life 190 pounds. My BMI is 34.6. My doctor has just prescribed me Phentermine 37.5 to help me start losing weight. I don't like it very much, because of the side effects, but if it helps then I'll take it. I want to lose 60-70 pounds before the end of this year. I think that should be easy to do. right? My main goal is not only to lose the weight, but learn how to tone up my mommy flab. Looking forward to working with everyone. :D

Hi! I used phentermine several times but never got to stick with it because it was too expensive...but I had great results with it and so have several people I know. The first time I used it I had horrible side effects...dry mouth, diarreah, dizziness, etc....but I had ordered it online from someone who I now believe wasn't legit. When I actually went to the Dr and got it I still had the dry mouth for a couple of weeks and a bit nauseated the first few days but my body got used to it and it was great. Hang in there. Everyone reacts differently to it but I think you can do it! Good luck.

Welcome to the forum. I am not familiar with that drug.

You could start a diary under the diary section and start listing your food.

Stay positive, you're being a bit hard on yourself. Be patient at the beginning. Soon those pounds will start to drop. It gets easier. You will build on your little successes.

Start drinking water and carrying it with you whereever you go. Water is by far the thing I have most of in the day and I swear it is helping. If you just focus on getting your water in for the first week you would be doing great. I drink mine with a squeeze of lime.

You get to figure it out by yourself, it is your journey and you will get all the credit for doing it - diet and exercise, that's what works. I am a juicer and get my protein from lean meats and coconut and this has accelerated my weight loss.
